The Wilderfolk Camping Club
For the people who come back. Camp cheaper, book earlier, and get first pick of the days the ocean decides.
Why a club
Some places just get under your skin.
Some people come once. Some people come once and start planning the next one before they’ve packed the car, and the club is for the second sort. It makes coming back cheaper and easier, and after a while it puts your name on the place.
A community of regulars
There’s one fire and one long table, so everybody ends up at both. The people you meet here in November you’ll run into again in March, and that’s rather the point of the whole thing.
Your own corner of the coast
Book straight with us and skip the platform fees. At Elder and Chief your name gets carved onto the Signpost in the meadow, where it stays.
The land rewards familiarity
The mushrooms fruit differently every year and the fog rearranges the place from one week to the next, so the more often you’re here the more of it you see. The lowest tides come in winter and spring, and knowing when to be standing on the rocks is most of it.
Skills, not just scenery
The guided days run through the season and they’re open to everybody, but members choose dates first and can spend their chits on the ones we lead ourselves.

Chits
Chits are the camp’s own currency
Chits are how the club pays you back. They land in your account every month you’re a member, you pick more up along the way, and you spend them here on the things that make camp so good: a quiet night under the pines, a morning out on the rocks at a low tide, a shirt from the store. They never expire, so you can let them pile up and take the whole family somewhere beautiful.
| What a chit buys | Chits |
|---|---|
| A night at Yellowfoot, Reishi or Hedgehog, two people | 1,500 |
| Each extra adult, per night | 500 |
| Each teen 12 to 17, per night | 250 |
| A night at Lobster, four people | 3,000 |
| A morning out on the rocks | 700 |
| Foraging the intertidal | 1,300 |
| The Camp Candy Cap shirt | 500 |
Children under 12 camp free, chits or cash alike. Friday and Saturday nights cost a little more, the way they do everywhere.
Earning
You’ll pick them up just by being here
Chits come with everything you buy from us, and with a few things you don’t pay for at all. Every adult who signs the participant agreement picks some up, every visit. Leave a review, send a friend who books, let us use a photograph you took, fill in your profile, have a birthday. Members earn at double rate on all of it, and it adds up faster than you’d think.
The permanent things
Your mark on the land
The Signpost stands in the meadow, covered in wooden signs pointing off in every direction, each one carved with a member’s name, their hometown, and how many miles away it is. It’s the record of everybody who kept coming back, and your sign points home.
First pick
The days the ocean decides
The intertidal mornings only run at a low tide, so the ocean sets that calendar rather than we do. Some of the best of them land in the middle of winter, when the lowest tides of the year come in and the coast is at its most beautiful and least crowded. Members see those dates first and take the ones they want. It works the same way on whatever fills up on its own: the 4×4 ATV out through the Usal forest seats five, Camp Catch n Cook sold out the first time we ran it, and being a member is how you hear about both before everybody else.
The details
The fine print, in plain English
Chits never expire
Spend them whenever you like, on camping, on the days we lead, or on anything in the store. Let them pile up if you want to; they keep.
They only work here
Chits aren’t redeemable for cash and can’t be resold or transferred, which is rather the point: they’re what you spend at Wilderfolk.
If you cancel
The chits you already have stay spendable, for as long as you like. Nothing new lands after your membership ends.
Weekends
Friday and Saturday nights cost more chits than weeknights. Cash prices are unchanged.
The member rate guarantee
It covers direct bookings only. Limited-time promotions and third-party platforms such as Hipcamp are excluded.
Renewal
Scout renews annually, Elder and Chief monthly, until you tell us to stop. Cancel any time before renewal; prorated membership is not available.
